If you are reading this then you enjoy hunting and fishing. You cherish the time you spend in the woods and on the water . When you’re not enjoying the outdoors you’re thinking about your next adventure or about how you missed that one last weekend.
As I was walking around a local sporting goods store, I realized something. The prices of the goods are ridiculous. I looked at fishing, hunting and other outdoor accessories. Everything is so expensive! It has gotten to the point - how can I even afford to fish and hunt? Eight bucks for one crank bait, $90 for a two piece rod and a mediocre reel? I just want to be able to go into a store and find quality products for a good price.
However, that is where I see our passion going. It’s going to highest bidder. I don't care if I wear Under Armour nor do I want to. It is too expensive. Capitol Outdoors is not the type of people that walk around with a brand or logo on them to show a status. Don’t get me wrong. I do have name brand items. However, I would never nor did we pay full price for the goods. We are always on the search for a bargain.
Maybe I am wrong, but you should be able to walk into any sporting goods store and be able to buy a quality product. Looks like I’ll be shopping at generic stores or online for my products. I used to work in retail. I know that all products are marked up by at least 70%. So many times Capitol Outdoors has gone into a store wanting to buy something and walked out with nothing. Some say that is being cheap, but we are just searching for the deals.
Some of you might agree or disagree with me.
Do you buy the high end items for your hunting or fishing gear or do you search for good deals?
