Update on some Firearm Bills in Illinois General Assembly

We have posted on a couple Firearms Bills that have been filed in the Illinois General Assembly:

House Bill 4715- Firearms Registration

House Bill 3762- lowers age to apply for FOID card without parental consent

We wanted to let you know where each Bill is currently in the process as the Legislature comes back into Session next week. 

• House Bill 4715 the Firearms Registration Bill has yet to be assigned to Committee. 
• House Bill 3762- FOID Card has been assigned to the Firearms Subcommittee of Judiciary, but probably will not be heard this week.
