Waterfowl Permits Now Available
Did you try and get a waterfowl blind for the 2016 - 2017 season with no luck? Well, your luck might change? The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has permits available for Duck and Goose hunting across the state.

Public Duck/Goose Hunting Online Application periods:
First Lottery - August 16 - 31, 2016
Residents Only
Second Lottery - September 1 - 14, 2016
Unsuccessful Residents from the first lottery
Residents that did not apply in the first lottery
Non-Resident applicants
Third Lottery - September 15 - 28, 2016
Any and All applicants can apply for 1st or 2nd permits
Youth Waterfowl Hunts (Duck/Goose) Application periods:
2016 Youth Waterfowl Hunts (Duck/Goose) Paper Application (print/mail): Aug 31 - Oct 1
First-come first-served permits. Hunters can acquire additional permits on a first-come first-served basis beginning at 8:00 AM, October 1st. Permits will remain available until reserved permit quotas are depleted or until 72 hours prior to the hunt date, which ever comes first.
